Well, well, see... You have to admit, spies and ninja aren’t that different! (I probably seem mad to some people) sneaking around in shadows, specialising in lots of different skills, spies and ninja would get along like a house on fire. Muwahah.

So, Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi (and Sasuke) as spies (though Sasuke’s only a silhouette!) I messed with their character designs, just a little =X Naruto’s got himself an overly flamboyant coat loaded with a little too much amo to get past ANY security… (yes, those ‘fire’ symbols are on grenades) Naruto sports a couple of lovely guns, which I’m proud of merely ‘cuz drawing guns is somewhat a torturous experience. Naruto’s whiskers have been exchanged for scars. Sakura’s in a slinky red dress and looking entirely harmless. Yup. Sakura, harmless. She’s a medic ninja so I couldn’t help the association with – perfectly harmless non-poisonous- hairpins. Kakashi, rofl. Well, he got an eye patch in place of a headband, CLEARLY. Then gloves, Kashi likes gloves. Then a white suit, ‘cuz, his hair’s white, it’d stand out if it shed on a black Tux like dandruff or somethin’ *making excuses* Kakashi came out looking like a typical Bond baddy, didn’t he? In fact… …all three of them did! It was completely unintentional!

I drew those three traditionally, and fixed inking and line art errors traditionally, (which takes AGES!) basicly I was trying out the techniques my manga-books tell you to use. Hum. Not again, even after tracing it and whiting out mistakes I still had a couple to fix on the computer; which is, naturally, faster. Ahh, books can be so misleading sometimes!

I went with the comic book shading because; well, I’ve wanted to do it from scratch for a while. Oddly, that ALSO takes ages, which is a bit annoying ‘cuz it looks cool. Ah well, I won’t beat around the bush so much next time.

Onto the background… I wanted to draw a background of ‘the other side’, Sasuke and Tobi. It only took a few seconds before this EXCACT shot popped into my head, Tobi’s eyehole provides near endless entertainment, doesn’t it? (it’s based on that old spy down a gun barrel shot, in case someone hasn’t see it)

Oh and, that’s an ‘umbrella’ Sasuke’s holding. A SPY ‘umbrella’.
